I found it mildly interesting while I was reading it, but once I put it down, I had a hard time getting back to it. The only reason I did was because I was in a group that was going to discuss it. There was nothing compelling or exciting about it. Her whole focus and interest in life was the science of food, and she could not understand anything else. She had a hard time relating to other people or any other topic. Even with her own child, she taught her science because that is what SHE liked, but when did she play with her child based on what the child was interested in?? As far as women's lib goes, she was far ahead of her time. She was fighting being a man's world very much, even more than we still are today. It is not a book I would recommend. A good book is something you can't wait to get back to and I never felt even close to that. I'm going to sell mine on Facebook Marketplace. Lol
