I love the style of this and other recent Wes Anderson films. Their highly exaggerated, often absurd images and events do not, of course, pretend to be real life. We are always aware that we are watching an artistic construction. We are. Why pretend a movie is real life? Enough other filmmakers have already done that and are doing it now. I especially like the moral journey that Korda makes in this film, from clinical selfishness to self-sacrifice for a greater good. Every frame is carefully crafted, from the first shot to the last frame of the credits. Bravo.
