BEST DICTIONARY OF THE WORLD A blatant ripoff of a blatant ripoff. I do not particularly mind when an author is clearly drawing from other author, but it must provide new context or meaning to the ideas or moods from the original. This is essentially identical to the works of Samuel Johnson, which essentially just modernized the language of Richard Mulcaster's novels. Honestly, the shamelessness of the plagiarism is extraordinary, all he did to hide his misdeeds was add a word here or there, it's like he's got no dignity, and I here this book praised constantly, this book was even officially licensed by a university, I find the author appalling, simply appalling. In all seriousness, I've read this book cover-to-cover, if you're writing an essay for whatever reason, having a varied vocabulary that allows you to sprinkle prose onto every paragraph is extraordinarily advantageous when deceiving the reader into believing that you are intelligent and that your words matter. I could have done that for this, though having revealed this secret, I believe it would be rather useless at this point.
