The movie places its full focus on Prabhas, portraying him as an ordinary man who inexplicably masters advanced technology, all while others are struggling for basic necessities like food and water. This incongruity makes his constant smile seem out of place and mismatched with the plot. The film is bogged down by unnecessary fight scenes involving Prabhas, including a baffling encounter with Ashwatthama and the handling of Karna's weapon, which felt like a waste of time.
