Just in season one but its gets a five for exposing the truth about the psychological harm happening behind the scenes along with verifying reactive abuse as a SECONDARY response to emotional abuse. All those people exploding were just pawns for capital. The damage it does mentally is irreversible. Likely many participate in such things because they are already exposed to that style of abuse. Who else would allow it other than someone that thinks it’s normal? Anyway, great acting/storyline, but the social highlight on the very real impact pf psychological/emotional manipulation is what gets the award from me. So tired of victim blame. Here’s the proof in the pudding on display. And I am eating it up. Just deducted two stars cause the use the R word like its not the same as the N word. 🤷‍♀️ So over programs that validate ableism. It’s 2024: grow up and accept human variety respectfully already. A slur is a slur is a slur. Wanna crap on someone: stand in the mirror and throw all you want. Stop abusing minorities because you wanna feel big. Only someone weak targets something already hurting. Just ask a lion without a pride. And just like he, neither should you be.

Just another sexist movie that frames the woman as the predator when the man has not only the authority over the female but the supposed lived experience to grant him opportunity to learn how to control himself even in desire. He isn’t the victim even if the teen did seek this, he was still the adult, and he still made the choice to cross the line. I find it disgusting they set her at 18 so they could pretend they are not discussing predatory pedophilia, but anyone with a mind can see the age gap and who is truly meant to be a responsible party; its the one being paid for those of you who can’t see it. Men who r*pe women blame their targets and even claim they enjoyed it… how is this movie different? It’s just men self confirming they don’t have any responsibility to control their own bodies. And the words you are all missing: rape by coercion. He had power. He had intellect. He had novel popularity. She was a child even at 18. And he was glad to have any excuse that resembled consent even though it broke the responsibility he was entrusted.
