The Pitt is excellent! The audience is immediately thrown into the work of the doctors, student doctors, nurses, and workers in the ER and the departments of the hospital that work most closely with it.
Each episode is an hour of one day. With the last episode, weโre now four hours into that day. This means that weโre following several stories and learning little details of both the patients and ER staff. There are no Darth Vaders and Princesses Leaโsโฆlots of shades of gray.
And I hope The Pitt maintains the lack of what I hate about most of these shows, which is the tendency to make them soap operas that rely heavily upon the sexual relationships of the hospital staff members. They follow a very tired formula that, so far, The Pitt doesnโt seem to employ. Fingers crossed.
