I read this book a while back and just remembered it whilst searching for a new novel to read.
This book completely took me by the heart.
I remember working in the middle of London, reading it every morning and every evening going to and from central on the train, until one day, feeling the book thinning within my right hand as the pages were coming to their end, my eyes wouldn't look away. I walked home, still reading, stopping in my tracks at the most intense parts. When I arrived home I sat on the floor in the front room, still wearing my heavy coat and work wear I was enveloped into the world that surrounded the characters. My mum finally got frustrated with me sitting there, in the middle of the living room, and abolished me to my bedroom. I ran there, to finish it. Where I then cried as the pages came to their end, concluding an outstanding and tantalising outcome became of those characters upon those pages I had dedicated so much of my time to, escaping the job I hated before and after. With the book closed upon my lap after completing it with a fearful heart, tears continuing to fall.
Outstanding. I hope everyone gets to experience this from at least ONE book they read within their lifetime.
