One of the best movies I’ve seen in years. Gyllenhaal and Jackman deliver career defining performances while Dano plays a creepy, sniveling man-child brilliantly. Villeneuve’s direction is a wonder, with his camera work bringing a moody, human story to life. An already incredible movie is made even better by Jóhann Jóhannsson’s masterful score. Overall, Prisoners is a tense marvel, and one that I’d strongly recommend.
