I rarely binge watch a series, especially twice.. I find it interesting that the negative feedback is because most of the cast is Gen X. It's about long-term adult relationships - like the original movie it's based upon. I feel like people have become so obsessed with looking young and trying to sustain rarely obtainable beauty standards. There is beauty at every age IMO. This series really captures deep friendships with shared memories, the difficulties in keeping marriages alive, letting go, humanity, vulnerability at the same time it is witty, humorous and engaging. It also highlights the difficulties of some middle aged people to understand younger generations and vice versa. It's about connection. Yes, the people it portrays deal with first world problems who don't have financial difficulties, which again is consistent with the original film. I find it refreshing and different, excellent writing and acting. Looking forward to next season!
