Having met Otavio Roth many years ago through my father and mother's association with the United Nations as journalists, he was a guest not only in our home but also a good friend. My daughter, now a grown woman, felt a deep connection to his work -- a poster that embodied the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that hung in our hallway. And now that poster and this book are being passed along to my grandson. And it is as precious today to us as it was the day we received it.
