Shikara is very poor movie. Its limited to personal life of two people, could not portray Kashmir issue and various other aspect of exodus. Neither it revealed local political situation nor national. An emotional drama of couple resulted into nothing. An important issue given a poor treatment. Vishal Bhardwaj was more forceful in HYDER showing muslim sufferings, in this movie Vidu Vinod Chopra tried to be secular and neutral and failed to show factual position.
