Great show, great vfx,great acting....in short do yourselves a favor and watch this show. Even if you havet watched any of the alien movies prior to this it doesn't matter. This will be the best TV show you have seen in a long long long time! Each director has done fantastic work with their own episodes. I kid you not, this is the best TV show I have EVER seen.
