Yesterday I completed this book, I felt as if I saw Mr. Krishnan's truest version... His simple and lucid writing style kept me engaged in this book and his life interested me till the end of it... At the end his daughter who was his only child left him and went to her grandparent's house, he resigned from the position of English teacher to satisfy his innermost aspiration and finally felt a glimpse of his dead wife(Susila).... His life was like a dream woven in gold thread with the bids of finding bliss within simplest things, but it ended soon and his struggles as a single parent was real! He left me with one last thing, that whatever this life has bought up to us we should accept and embrace it and go with the flow! I personally loved the third chapter where is wife died and Narayan felt as an emotionless being as a form of grief for his loved wife and the eighth or the last chapter where he spoke about Indian education system before resigning.
