I absolutely loved the First movie. The sequel however; do not even get me started on the horrifyingly, appalling acting in this movie. Of course, we have Kurt Russel and Goldie who are Hollywood royalty. The plot was crumby and made no sense at all. The character development that occurred in the first movie is nearly obsolete in this movie; oh, and Teddy totally gets the short end of the stick. Anyway, like I said the acting in this movie is absolutely terrible. There is no fluidity between lines, no plausibility. Every line of dialogue was awkward, cringy, and totally out of character for each actor; kinda like your 5th grade class play. Santa is no longer the rough and tough, kick-ass Santa from the last movie who holds concerts in the Jail cell and saves christmas, instead he is a Dad, and he does a terrible job at it. And then there is the 'villain'. The bad "little" elf who wants to ruin Christmas by swiping Daddy's christmas star because it powers all of Santa's village. Belsnickel is a absolutely terribly written villain, and he is played by an equally terrible actor. Okay, Some of the action scenes are horrendous in this movie. When that jack kid fights off all the elves with the nerf gun? This was the only thing that made me laugh, not because it was funny but because it was totally cringy and hilariously stupid. The Jack kid is also one of the most annoying parts of this movie. The only redeemable part in this movie are the elves and there was not enough of them. So in closing never ever watch this movie unless you want to cry in discomfort and cringe,
