FRANCES RAFTERY

After a promising opening sequence the reset of the film became boring with a highly unlikely story. We actually got up and left before the ‘grand finale, after expecting a predictable end. Loved the original JP and the next one but this one relied on nostalgia (return of Dern and Neill) without the wonder of the dinosaurs. The “baddie”’s motives were vague. Even the second-eleven characters were not clearly defined. In all, a mess of a film.

Acting totally wooden, especially Beecham’s mother. I love historical dramas but this is a travesty.
