Oh dear i feel bad giving this a poor review but although the romance was quite sweet, the comedy didn't quite make it. the film didn't gel so the acting didn't gel and we just didn't invest in the characters, there were some very weak performances and some wholly atrocious irish accents. The scenery was very lovely but the pub scenes were so corney i half expected a leprachan to jump out to keep our very cheeky st bridget company. Sadly, apart from the scenery, a big fail for me.

absolutely loved it. Went back to see it again two days later. Joyful, hilariously funny, moving & just plain bonkers. action, plot twists, corny gore & brilliantly funny dialogue. what’s not to love unless you’re expecting high brow! i’d give it 6 stars if i could! ps reading the few bad reviewers, it just goes to show how very different people are.

Loved it! For the first 15 or so minutes I thought I’d made a big mistake, I thought it seemed a bit too arty and a bit too ‘try hard’. but I’m glad I continued watching because it was really magically crafted, very funny, dark and heart-wrenching. beautifully woven story with a fantastic cast. I’ll go back and see it again! *****

oh dear oh dear. low budget and poor writing seemed to contribute very low acting commitment! and that’s not to mention poor art direction. i quite like van damme anyway but there just isn’t much positive to say about this 🙈.

truly hated it. Sorry to say but I absolutely hated the performances I thought the sex scenes could’ve been spectacular but failed to be erotic. A tangled tale which had some great moments but completely lacked authenticity in their execution. in the end, i literally didnt care whether they stayed together of not. :( ps watch ‘normal people’ to see chemistry and performances at their best.

Shame on you BBC. This program is deplorable. It feasts on human greed and by way of temptation, it draws out and exhibits to all, the worst in human nature. Is this what we have come to? That we take enjoyment from watching the pain and shortcomings of others for entertainment? I watched the first episode all the way through and then fast forwarded through the second episode, which confirmed to me that it was a zoo show. I am truly disgusted.
