As a massive Disney Adult I LOVE Lilo and Stitch 2025 just as much but differently from the original. I still got all the same feelings as the original but in different ways. They nailed it imo.
(Spoiler) !!!! (Spoiler) !!!! (Spoiler) !!!! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
I’m seeing a lot of reviews saying Nani ditches Lilo. It wasn’t up to Nani anymore. They WERE taking Lilo, the state was taking her and Nani couldn’t do another thing about it. And in the Hawaiian culture Ohana isn’t just blood relation. That was just as much part of this movie as Ohana including yourself. Watch the mid credit scene because it shows you that Nani didn’t just ditch Lilo with the neighbor. First off Lilo told Nani to “join the Marines” and Nani had a lot of support to do better for herself and in turn Lilo. Lilo would be like 10 by the time Nani finishes college, she’s still got many years of childhood left. And she has the portal gun! She can literally come home for dinner every night!
As for Jumba, he’s an evil scientist!!! Tbh he should have never had a change of heart in the first one. He should have been like Dr.Hamsterville (is that how you spell it?) always evil and protective of his creations. Loved him as a bad guy! It felt right in a weird way.
I think some people just want to be unhappy it’s not scene for scene the 2002 version 🤷🏻♀️ therefore they pick anything to be upset about. And that’s coming from me whose favorite original scene was cut from the 2025 remake.
It’s not a bad movie, it’s a different movie with the same general story.
