The minecraft movie showed good story structure, characteristics, and social references within the minecraft community. Although, i thought it was pretty ridiculous. It's totally a meme reference movie but honestly resembled minecraft well. Jack black shined in the role but realistically he was overally silly and sang a lot. But that's what you have to expect when coming to watch this movie. It's a feel good film that utilized popular culture to gain audience admiration. If you don't get minecraft, you probably won't get the movie. 4/5, because you gotta go in there with first hand experience of the game or understanding of the references. Also, my audience behaved so well and took the movie seriously. They clapped and cheered many times, especially when Chicken jockey happened as they wanted to be there.
