A very soulless album, devoid of any sort of persona that made the original Pink Friday so beloved. This was supposed to be a full circle moment, travelling back in time to who she once was, but she missed the mark completely. From the lazy sampling that feels almost like cruise control, notably the Billie Eilish sample on the opening track; to the generic beats and poor production that doesn’t hark back to her 2010 personalities in the slightest; to the soulless and almost repetitive lyrics full of meaningless disses to her “sons” that have been rinsed and recycled what must be a thousand times at this point. This album was almost painful to listen to, as I found myself wondering when each song was going to end. Lacking any sort of creative passion, it really begs the question: is her heart really still in the craft? Or has she just lost it completely
