A father, whilst dressed as Santa, gets stuck in the chimney...& dies! Thereafter the daughter hates Xmas. (Wish I had such strong reasons for disliking Xmas.) This is a great film...from a decade of great films. And I still can't work out which side the Director is on. Anarchy can be good for the soul. One of the joys of childhood. And maybe old age - when freedoms (based on not caring what others think) resurface. Watching this film presently. It's a joy. And Stripe still hasn't arrived.

Outstanding writing, acting, and direction. America is very honest about itself. So, why aren't films about the UK's dark side made in 'our' country? I laugh at politicians who talk about UK values (What are they?) whilst trying to halt free speech.
