This show is obviously written and produced by people who have never been to Texas, let alone Austin. And since when did the FDNY become NYFD (check the New York firefighters bunker coats)? Then Lowe and his TV son drive to Austin via California, which is the only way they'd encounter any desert terrain that is still hundreds of miles WEST of Austin. The fire station looks like an old warehouse in East L.A., the homes and yards look nothing like an Austin Neighborhood, and no apartment within the Austin City Limits has "hill country views" (per the realtor showing Lowe and son their prospective residence). The EMS service in Austin is provided by Austin-Travis County EMS, not the Austin Fire Department. And the rescue scenes are obviously someone's bad LSD trip (a baby in a car seat ejected upward some 30 feet into a tree?). This is a cheap attempt at a spinoff and an insult to the residents and first responders of Austin and Travis County. Double thumbs-down!
