Two degenerate gamblers meet up at a card game in Iowa and set off on a road trip to New Orleans and all points inbetween. It takes us through the highs and lows of risking it all on the throw of a dice and the turn of a card. A bittersweet journey into the sad, sometimes tragic but intoxicating world of gambling addiction that illustrates beautifully the consequences and human cost of always making one more bet. Tremendous acting by the entire supporting cast, moody and quintessential american noir. This is a truly great road movie and not to be missed.
