I’ve read a lot of unbelievably negative reviews from other review platforms about how this film made a huge disappointment. I thought to myself, why are they so serious? While everyone’s ranting on the other side. Me and my husband went home laughing and can’t stop talking about all our favourite scenes! Thor didn’t become a joke, he learned how to chill all thanks to his buddies!- Guardians of the Galaxy! Remember this awesome group? They’re hilarious! This movie is super funny and definitely NOT EMPTY! Cinematography and special effects were great, the sound track awesome, great acting from all casts- from the legend Christian Bale to the youngest cast! It is action packed, scary at times but also funny, romantic and cute! It is so balanced that it is enjoyable from start to end! Even CHILDREN will love watching it! Kudos to Director Taika Waititi! I don’t want to put any spoilers but-if you’ve seen the movie you can read all the cool trivia behind it. You’ll love it even more because it is special!

I was born in 1984 so I can't say Top Gun was "my time" but it's definitely my Mom's and my uncle's time (her younger brother and only sibling). Growing up I have noticed that my uncle owned a huge poster of Top Gun with Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis together. It was on his wall above his headboard. I have no idea who they were that time until Betamax player came, then VHS player, VCD/DVD player. My uncle buys a copy of Top Gun each and every time a new vcr system for home entertainment comes out in the market. That's how much he loves Top Gun- that I understood! It was really cool to watch it with the whole fam! And now that I've seen the sequel after decades! It didn't disappoint me, my husband and my mom. It even exceeded our expectations! This movie is truly spectacular! Loved the story, there was enough flash backs to understand what is happening now. The special effects! No CGI! Actors where all inside the cockpit of a flying F18. Even the scene with the old F14 was rad too! This is the highest level of effort and dedication! Made me really happy. How I wished my uncle's still here with us. He would have cried, he surely would have love this movie. So thank you Paramount and to all the producers of of Top Gun Maverick. You're all awesome! You all gave my uncle's favourite movie a beautiful ending that it deserves and you brought back one of my amazing childhood memories.
