Like most Westerns the story line was quite predictable but if you like the genre then this is worth a watch. Taissa Farmiga is really good and James Ransom is perfectly horrible. A canine companion is quite unique and will appeal to dog lovers. Ethan Hawke the lead character could have been stronger, he doesn't really make a big impression. Acting all around is good. Travolta plays a smaller role very well.
