I love the show. What I don't like is Americans going into foreign countries trying to impose American ways and culture on their significant other and situations. When you go to other countries you need to learn their language and their culture. Three of the characters are especially irritating. Jen and her friends. While I'm not so sure about Rishi I do understand his culture and respect it. They do not. I believe he loves Jen and that he is trying to balance out his relationship with his family and with Jen. The other characters that rub me the wrong way is Osama and Nicole. Osama is an asswhole and to me it appears he only wanted to get to the U.S. For Nicole to have been with Mamoud for as long as she has you would think she would know more about him, his beliefs and expectations. Another situation where she does not respect his culture nor his beliefs. When moving abroad especially in countries where Islam is a major religion Americans need to understand their practices and culture.
