I saw Paul's teams at LMU over 20 times and was in the locker room as a credentialed journalist. Nobody ever realized what they were seeing would never be done again.... Sports plays out in many ways , and to this day , I have never been left so empty from a sporting event on the day Hank Gathers died. This young man was a talent who lived to play. Paul is a great man. Whenever speaking about his career in the " Speed Game " it was never long in the conversation before he would bring up the name of Sonny Allen , his inspiration for playing fast. Another thing , Paul must be blessed with a great wife and family, What a ride ! They stood by him through it all. Me too. Thanks for a seat on the " Merry go Round " !
