Honestly, this show was a waste of time, money and resources for anybody that has EVER interacted with it. Be it the creators, actors, editors, investors, internet providers, the audience etc. I’m not saying the quality of the show is terrible but the subject matter is not worth the time and effort spent. I am sympathetic to someone struggling with commitment, the pressures of marriage and lurking curiosities that may come at a devastating cost if acted upon. The show grapples with these concepts yet fails to derive an actual message other than showcasing weakness and ultimate destruction of a family as its endgame. The most disgusting realization I had about the wife is that she is incredibly, toxic, immature, selfish and has screwed up priorities to the point of compromising her children’s stability. I feel she doesn’t represent a real mom actually seriously weighing her choices, the life she’s built, her husband’s feelings and the futility of pursuing an ex. She’s made her bed and doesn’t accept it. And she responds with her lack of acceptance with heartless decisions that have no regard for anybody. That’s what feels unrealistic about this show. She doesn’t feel like a real person in this situation. The acting is okay. The frequent sex scenes and gratuitous nudity are an excuse for shocking the audience and lengthening episodes. If you’re not looking for anything cerebral and productive..well go right ahead. This is just my opinion after all.
