I've watched Y&R since the early 1980's. We lived in Mexico in 1990-91 and it helped me learn Spanish. The majority of the time I have enjoyed it. Nowadays I tape the show so I can fast-forward the story lines that move too slowly, or that don't interest me. There seem to be more and more of those. and the lesbian story is one of them. If you continue to dwell on this I will be a former soap watcher. FINALLY Victoria is claiming her independence from her family. YAY!!!

I thought it was excellent when it started and have enjoyed it. Now they are zeroing in WAY too much on the fact that Tommy is a lesbian. She can do what she wants in her own "private" life, but I want her to catch criminals. I do not want to get her love life crammed down my throat every week. Cut this out or you will lose not only me, but many other viewers. I don't care if it is the thing of the future, accepted behavior, etc. I do NOT choose to watch women hugging and kissing for entertainment.
