I keep a list of all of my favorite games, where #2 is the highest praise you can get (#1 being Fallout: New Vegas, my comfort food game that I have poured ungodly amounts of time into) and this game just beat Outer Wilds for that spot. I repeat, this game beat Outer Wilds for me, and just in story alone.

While it has been criticized for seemingly tedious gameplay, I believe Death Stranding will go down in history the same way Metal Gear Solid has as the first of a new genre of story driven, social connecting games. (dubbed by Kojima as "Strand" games.) This game made me sob in the end, and even after I have completed the story, I cannot stop playing it in order to 100% the trophies on PS4. New Game+ soon, please!
