I was so disappointed that Iris and Keith didn't make it but I think ultimately Keith had to do what he did. I think that the way Iris always referred to HER VIRGINITY was off-putting; it's almost like it was a third party in their marriage. She had lived with it so long she wasn't willing to move past that or even consider that it was time to let it go. Iris was uncomfortable talking about sex, and if she could have told Keith she wanted to learn with him but she was nervous that would have been great. And then she should have stopped talking about her virginity! The dice game was the wrong strategy because of her reluctance to even use the words, and it required a more direct approach than she was ready for. But the flavored body paint was great because it allowed her to decide how far to take it and she even got a little risque which was good for her. They should have had that earlier and should have been encouraged to play that game nightly. That could have broken those barriers. Her mother tried to counsel her to dive in but she just wasn't ready and she held up her virginity like a shield she intended to keep forever. Hopefully she will eventually find true love with someone who values the great qualities she brings to the mix and is willing to work with her innocence in a loving positive way.
