Both Judy Garland and Robert Walker are very believable and loving in this somewhat maudlin, yet realistic love story on NYC during the war years. It is important for young people to see this kind of movie to understand that, while some things pass from the scene(i.e. the milkman), the needs and wants of young lovers rarely changes.

Unlike some of the comment that have been made about this film, prior to its premiere, this reviewer gives it a better than average rating. The singing by both leads is first rate, and the acting is believable. Most of the plot points from the original cartoon remain, as do most of the songs. Gal Gadot is very goid as the evil queen and Rachel Zegler is a strong heroine as Snow White. Also noteworthy are the characterizations and voices of the dwarfs, particularly Dopey.

The songs stand the test of time. However, the script is old and dated. The actors do their best, but cannot overcome the corniness of the script.
