It has taken the story in a new direction, they have smoothed some edges, they have cut out parts and created new contours in the plot. It has been updated to more modern standards. Honestly it is great with an attention to detail that should be commended. It's difficult to supply the nostalgia of original source material in a remake. I feel it is nigh impossible. So instead it has to be taken in a new direction. I will carry that weight (groan).
