Red Piper

We are fans of crime dramas, and nordic noir. Thought this would be good but dear oh dear!! It started not too bad, but then downhill after the second episode. The out of focus scenes, the very loud background music at times and the disjointed and incomprehensible plot was very hard going. You need to totally suspend any rational thinking as the impossible actions and personality shifts occur. It is very hard to develop any sympathy for any of the characters they are all so flawed, rude, and unpleasant. The ending was especially weird. The scenery, which is spectacular, could not overcome the terrible writing and plot.

Do not go to this if you have any interest in history. Beautifully acted but very slow and really quite pointless as it’s so inaccurate. Pity.
