I was absolutely obsessed with the books. They had a true literary sense to them. I am a few minutes into the TV show, and I am already disappointed. They give too much away in the first 5 mins and they altered it as well. I always feel that TV shows “dumb” things down for the audience and this is deeply disappointing to me. The books have a quality and weight to them that this show clearly lacks. I’m not sure if I want to continue to ruin the fond memories I have if this book. Sad. I was truly excited about seeing what I imagined brought to life.
