This is the most down to earth, realistic portrayal of Jesus, his disciples, the Pharisees and Romans I’ve seen. I appreciate how the women are portrayed as valuable and equally loved by Jesus. They are not scripted as “background extras” but treated as whole human beings who just as important as the disciples.
If you don’t know Jesus personally, watch to find out why people were drawn to him then and now. You will laugh at his sense of humor and be intrigued by his confidence and kindness.
