I’ve finally given up watching this soap after decades of viewing it. I totally agree with the views on here about southern writers not having a clue as to how to write a script for a Yorkshire based soap and believe the only way to get emerdale back on track is to employ script writers that are more in tune with northern issues instead of continually writing about gays adopting babies, lesbian wedding and transgender issues after all this is supposed to be a light hearted family entertainment programme and and not the views of a gay producer whom seems intent on pushing her views and breaking new ground. The stories in the past were never realistic but had a hint of humour and were entertaining but now it’s just pure drivel. Thank god for freeview.

Watched this programme over several seasons and noticed the content getting less and less. Your programme is on for an hour but the content of each episode could be shown in 10 minutes, I am finding the new episodes boring and now decided I will watch it every 3 or 4 weeks in order to keep my interest up.
