Although I did not enjoy the show, I can see how it may appeal to some people. It does not remind me of any superhero series or movies, but rather the excellent Kung Fury (available on YouTube). It's just not nearly as good. Other influences seem to be old Mortal Combat and Street Fighter games, and the legendarily bad cutscenes from Red Alert. This show consists of seemingly disparate scenes interspersed with comic book-like animation. The acting is in stark contrast to the over-the-top nature of everything else - mediocre at best. The cartoonish special effects in the live-action scenes look like something from a Space Jam ripoff. The premise is interesting, as others mention in their reviews, but everything is overshadowed by the fact that it's just not well done. There are a lot of appearances by people who should not attempt to act: Chaz Bono, Dolph Lundgren, Adi Shankar (the creator), etc. And he has the audacity to call it "An Adi Shankar Experience". Well, the experience is that I will never watch anything else with your name on it. And how did they convince Jane Seymour to take a role? Is she broke?
