This movie gets a one star for many reasons. To start, Disney needs to stop with the remakes nonsense. After seeing all of them, it's clear that they're not good and worth watching. They all tend to change things that weren't in the original and the outcome never lives up to them. Now for the movie, the lead actress is a horrible person. She supports police brutality in Hong Kong and is just a bad actress overall. She doesn't bring justice to the original Mulan and despite it trying to be slightly more accurate, it still manages to be bad. She's very stale and when there's an emotional or important scene, her acting kinda makes it underwhelming. The other reason to not watch this movie is because of where it was partially filmed. This was filmed in Xinjiang, where Uyghur Muslims are being held captive and being killed. The fact that they have the audacity to film in a place where it's horrible right now and try to not help or bring light to it is disgusting. Now let's mention the production crew, which is all white. There is no asian representation other than the cast. The costumes, script, everything was made by white people which causes parts of the film to be very stereotypical instead of trying to be more accurate. Do not watch this film, do not waste your money on this film. It is not worth it.
