It only takes two words to describe this movie... "Absolutely Devastating".
If Nate Parker doesn't win an award for this, something's wrong. The way he humanizes the family and makes the grieving personal OMG... I felt like I had lost MY child. What a deep sense of sorrow and grief I felt smh It's nuts that people are experiencing this EVERY DAY.
I died a little bit watching this... a piece of me died. But I'm better for having seen this movie. If you're in the mood for a powerful piece of cinema, you've found it.
