This show is garbage. They have completely laid waste to a beautiful story. If you want a good adaptation, do yourself a favor and find the Chinese adaptation. While not as visually impressive, it is a solid version that doesn’t pick and pull random personas from the trilogy to create an entirely different narrative. And for all the people that complain about the lack of character development in the novels, it would have been easy enough to develop the existing characters a smidge versus basically erasing them as has been done in the Netflix version. I was so excited when I heard about this a few years ago and am beyond disappointed.
