Bollywood movie Housefull 5, which was marketed as a comedy-murder mystery. Unfortunately, like many recent Bollywood productions, it ended up being a slapstick circus. The humor felt painfully forced, relying on outdated and silly jokes that barely raised a chuckle. The plot was weak and uninspiring, and even a cast full of talented actors couldnโt bring it to life.
The film also failed in terms of authenticityโthe setting never felt real. Scenes that were supposedly were hybrid sometimes on board a ship and sometimes somewhere else, which came off as completely artificial, making a mockery of the plotโs intended location. The engine room sequence, in particular, was laughably unrealistic and poorly executed.
Despite boasting several top Bollywood stars, the film lacked any real direction or coherence. Itโs disappointing to see that many of our once-great directors have seemingly given up on storytelling and are now focused solely on producing shallow, mindless content.
