Absolutely loved Chandu Champion! It uses the routine template of sports drama biopic but Kabir Khan's exceptional direction and the unpredictability of story is what makes it stands out from others. With a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes, it takes you on Murlikant Petkar's life journey, where his only dream was to win a gold medal in the Olympics, irrespective of the sport. The movie offers you everything, you laugh, you cry, you cheer, you feel pity, you feel inspired, you find some new hope. I can finally say this that this is Kartik Aaryan's best performance till date. Kudos to writer/director Kabir Khan for extracting the best out of Kartik. A big shoutout to Vijay Raaz who was just splendid. We need him in more films. All in all, a wonderful story of India's first Paralympics gold medallist Murlikant Petkar should not be missed at any cost. PLEASE WATCH IT. If this movie fails at the box office, we as an audience don't deserve to step into theaters again. #chanduchampion

There are perhaps as many male doctors of gynaecology as there are female, give or take a few, even in the small towns. But Anubhuti Kashyap, in her feature directorial debut, wants us to believe that this is the domain of only women. At its core, Doctor G has an interesting idea. That most men don’t really understand — or make an attempt to understand — what women really want. But the writing is too muddled (Kashyap being aided by Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat and Vishal Wagh is a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth) for that idea to come through with any kind of a fresh treatment. The constant emphasis on the fact that Uday needs to lose his ‘male touch’ to become better at his job is misplaced, with Doctor G busying itself in earning its feminist cred when it doesn’t really need to. Ayushmann has, in the last 10 years, travelled the whole gamut of body and bodily functions and attempted to un-taboo them. But what was once niche is now slowly and surely becoming mainstream and losing the edge that it once had. Would have been a better movie with such strong message to give. Movie lost its meaning amidst chaos and very poor screenplay. Rakul is pathetic in acting. Ayushman somehow managed to give his best despite of very poor character given to play. Shefali as usual very good at her task. Humour is laboured and not as free-flowing as it should be. Direction could have been much better.
