It's sold as a musical, and as a musical admittedly it is not great. However, the musical elements are used to portray just how detached from reality Arthur Fleck is. With that in mind, Joker 2 is an incredible film which brilliantly builds on the narrative of the first film and shows what happens when an insane man like Fleck is given an audience.
