They didn't have certain scenes (the beach and Meg's hair burning) but I loved the movie so much. Watching movies like these are so nostalgic and beautiful. All of these actresses are amazing! Margaret O'Brien's performance is fantastic! She brought me to tears. Such a fantastic actress! No wonder June Allyson began crying for real. Such a perfect Beth I've ever seen. So mature for a 12 year old. Her, Annes Elwy, Eliza Scanlen, and Claire Danes play fantastic Beths.

I saw the movie before the reading book, so there were times where the plot was confusing, but as after I read the book, I appreciated the movie even more. Ronan as Jo was a beautiful choice and all the other actresses did beautiful work on it too. Having Meryl Streep as Aunt March was one of the best things I saw in the film; even though Beth's character arc was a little rushed, in my opinion, I loved her relationship with Mr. Laurence in both the book and movie - she was his granddaughter reincarnated.
