Definitely some fair criticism in the other reviews, but I definitely don’t think this deserves 1 star. It’s slow to get to the fight scenes, but episode 5 has some of the best lightsaber battles in the franchise and the dual wielding scene is sick. I get that everyone has expectations of how the Jedi should’ve reacted, but wasn’t part of the issue of the Jedi that they were also kind of wrong since they stuck so strictly to certain understandings of “right vs wrong” that they allowed for bad things to happen (like the bar scene in episode 1). Also, I get that not all the characters are fully flushed out, but they certainly build them up enough to create some pretty surprising scenes. With the critiques of Osha sending Mai but Mai not sending OSHA, wouldn’t that just indicate that Osha could just be more sensitive with the force (maybe green saber for her and blue for Mai?); and with Mai going from evil kid to making a “good” decision in episode 5, is it really that hard to believe an adult would have matured a bit from when they were a little kid and despite having sith training, discovering her sister was alive may have changed things a bit? I’m not saying everything about the series was perfect or even great, but there were some scenes that were absolute gems and I think we should give some space to recognize those.
