TO POINT OUT, I have never read any of the books on wattpad so this review is simply just off what I got from the movies. The first movie “After” was not bad and I actually enjoyed watching it. Did I think it could use a little more heat and a bit more of an easy flow with the dialogue? Yes. But was it horrible? No. But from that first movie, everything just got worse. This storyline idea is great for a book but the way it was made into a movie form was just horrible. It all felt rushed, in some areas it was underwhelming and it other areas, it was just down right painful to watch. It was like watching a rated R version of the kissing booth. This movie in particular, brought me nothing but second hand embarrassment. I laughed and cringed throughout the entire movie. It’s not the actors fault and it’s not a bad idea for a movie. It’s just the way us was carried out, the visuals, ugh, it was just plain bad. I think Hardin is supposed to be a toxic bad boy character but he just came out to be bad and immature. The sex scenes were just no. I think whoever directed this needed some help with it because the way it was put together was just no. It needed some more spice, sensuality, some more feeling. It lacked so much of that in my opinion. And don’t get me started on the shots and the cameraman. I’m thinking the production is the reason why the movie is bad. There was one scene that made me feel some type of emotion and it was when Hardin feel to his knees crying. That’s the only part when I stopped laughing and actually thought okay this is actually a good scene. Great music selection. But please take your time with the next movie and really put it together. I really need these characters to get something good.
