Typical copy and paste fifa series, it looks good, but no better than lat year. There have been bugs ever present in this release which EA has yet to address. For example, a football simulation game shouldn't make it difficult to dispossess a player juggling the ball from the half way line. Tackling is non existent in this game, the standing tackle button is seldom ever used as you have to 'bump' into a player to take the ball. Crossing is a little stronger in this iteration than before, but still not a worthwhile approach to take when attacking. EA has taken steps to remove some of the toxicity of previous games by taking out some goal celebrations, yet many obnoxious ones remain which fuels the culture surrounding this games online community. The career mode remains as dead as it has been since EA found how much money they can make through teenage gamblers with their parents credit card information on FUT. Volta football is at least something a little different, but its hardly 'football' at all anyway, imagine the game FIFA street but taking itself too seriously. If you haven't played FIFA for several years and are looking to get back into it, do yourself a favour and don't. FIFA 21 will waste your time and frustrate you, it doesn't emulate real football in the slightest. If you really have to though, try out 10 hours 'free' when you buy a month of EA play.
