I have little appreciation for this book and cannot see how it would be considered for anything other than possibly as adjunct to an adult Sunday school lesson. A majority of the text consists of other writers’ contributions and copious scripture verses; absent these, perhaps three dozen pages would remain.
It reads with little cohesion, with the author’s thoughts and intentions scattered. Colijn concludes her chapters with summations that come across like pastoral admonitions.
