So, I’m nominally an adult (well, fully adult by the numbers) and I’m really confused about the reviews I’m reading from others similarly situated. I love everything about this show. It’s truth, lack of apology for the same, and especially the parts that help us understand how to translate what’s happening to these kids to our own generation’s norms. I understand it’s terrifying (my kids are little and this isn’t going to get better) but my older nieces and nephews tell me their truths and this all resonates for them. Like any cautionary tale, it’s uncomfortable at times and definitely uses some shock tactics, but effectively, in my opinion. Give it a chance, elders. Might learn a thing or two or just enjoy a very well executed show.
