A hauntingly beautiful film that has had a huge impact, I am still thinking about it four days on from seeing it. The acting is superb. Andrew Scott's performance as Adam is particularly sublime. The use of close ups adds to the emotional intensity, and empathy we have for the characters; we feel for, and with them. The clever, and at times, jarring editing keeps us moving through time and space, in a sometimes disorientating way, that adds to the exploration of the deeply tragic and profound subjects of grief, loss, loneliness and love. The soundtrack is delicious. See it on the big screen if you can!
